Corporate Media In America Officially Descends Into Hell

It was bad enough last week when your "family values" channel, www.foxnews.com, posted a pornographic photo on its front page while even promoting it. It would seem that this would never be topped.

Well it has. Last Saturday evening, NBC's "Saturday Night Live," presented a music video in which two young men sang in a music video called "MotherLover" for Mother's Day. In the video which had corresponding live action, the two young men decided that they would make each other's moms happy by cross-engaging in sexual intercourse with them. The lewd and obscene video which featured explicit lyrics beeped out the word f**k each time with just enough left in so you knew what was being said.

As if this wasn't bad enough, the uncensored version of the video is now available for viewing. Using the profanity right out loud with the theme, makes it that much more disgusting.

Where can you find it? Is it hidden away somewhere on the Internet?

THE UNCENSORED VERSION OF THE VIDEO HAS BEEN PLACED TONIGHT ON THE FRONT PAGE OF WWW.NBC.COM BY NBC.

There is your FAMILY VALUES/CONSERVATIVE/ALL AMERICAN "news" organization at work.

WHAT HYPOCRITES!

I would like to tell you that this is one of my parody pieces, but it is not.

It is exactly as posted today on Fox News.

There was a time in America that you had to buy this in the back room of some seedy adult book store or on a newsstand covered by a brown paper bag. And now, America's self-proclaimed moral leader, Fox News, is offering this smut absolutely for free!

Why don't you call up Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin or Michael Savage and ask them why Fox News is running smut on their website?

They'll think up some rationalization to defend America's moral leader.

(by the way...we did...we called Sean Hannity 's radio show and after we told his producer what this was about, she said: "I don't care about Fox News. This is ABC." And then hung up on us. But as you know, Sean Hannity is always talking about how wonderful Fox News is.)

HOW FOX NEWS DISTORTS THE NEWS

I DON'T NEED TO TELL YOU HOW THE "UNFAIR & UNBALANCED" NEWS ORGANIZATION--FOX NEWS--DISTORTS, LIES, DECEIVES AND MANIPULATES THE NEWS FOR ITS 24 HOUR RIGHT-WINGED POLITICAL AGENDA.

LET'S LOOK AT THIS FRONT PAGE FOX NEWS COLLAGE AND ITS HEADLINE FROM A FEW DAYS AGO:

"An increasingly cumbersome appointments system leaves Obama with gaping holes in his administration that threaten the president's ambitious agenda."

WHAT IF JOHN McCAIN HAD BEEN ELECTED PRESIDENT?

HOW WOULD THE "FAIR & BALANCED" FOX NEWS HAVE COVERED THE SAME STORY?

"An increasingly solid appointments system has President McCain thoughtfully building his administration that will enhance the president's ambitious agenda."

FOX NEWS is like the kid you hated in 8th grade that always manipulated the truth to make him/her always seem innocent and wonderful.

Those Wacky Right-Winger License Plates - Just Ignore the Constitution

The State of South Carolina was recently stopped in court from issuing a license plate that endorsed one specific religion.

Now the State of Florida has decided to create their own license plate violation of the separation of church and state.

THOSE DISPLAYED UP ABOVE ARE REAL. I DIDN'T MAKE THOSE TWO UP.

Before George W. Bush came into office, we had this document called The U.S. Constitution with a Bill of Rights. Maybe it will be restored again over the next four years.

The VERY FIRST THING that the people who made this BILL OF RIGHTS wanted to make clear was: "Congress Shall Make No Law Respecting An Establishment of Religion." They did not want to see government endorsing one religion over another, or the establishment of an official religion.

If this trend continues, we are simply going to have to make official state license plates for every religion out there. These which I created should work. Don't you think?

PONTIAC Farewell

GM will announce tomorrow the closing of the legendary American PONTIAC division.

Generations of Americans from old timers looking for practicality to those wanting sporty modern vehicles were once loyal customers of the famous division of General Motors.

The greatest cars produced by Pontiac with sportiness in mind were the Starchief, GTO, Firebird and TransAm.

This was my all-time favorite Pontiac. A modified GTO driven by a very popular 60's band on their TV show.

Another nail in the coffin of American auto manufacturing.

How Insane American Media Is

Are You Tired Of It? As Much As I Am?

The ONLY thing the American Media (controlled by a few companies) has been spoon feeding us all week long is this most important story:

An average, unattractive woman who appeared on a British TV talent show has a great singing voice.

Every major newspaper, TV news/infotainment program and Internet site has pushed this story all week long as if it is the most important and significant event of this year.

How many stories has the American Media presented to you lately about Iraqi mothers who are still crying because their children, spouses, parents and other relatives have been slaughtered due to the fact that America has yet to remove its presence from their country?

That's irrelevant as decided by the American Media. We all want to know every detail on the life, loves and aspirations of the average, unattractive British woman who can sing well.

After all, she's a Caucasian Westerner whom we can all relate to.

And the Eternal Ethnocentric American just doesn't care much about foreign looking people with funny accents. Maybe an average, unattractive Iraqi woman with a great singing voice who has seen her family blown up should appear on "Baghdad Idol" and it will get the same attention from the American Media.

WHERE DID ALL THIS VIOLENCE START?

TODAY THE NEWS WAS FILLED WITH COMMEMORATIONS OF "COLUMBINE" AND ALL OF THE CURRENT GROUP OF NEWEST YOUNG MALE AND FEMALE KILLERS WHO HAVE DONE HORRENDOUS THINGS IN OUR SOCIETY.

HOW DID WE GET HERE?

I CAN TELL YOU. I WAS AWARE OF IT WHEN IT STARTED AND I'M AWARE OF IT NOW.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOU AND ME IS THAT I WILL TELL YOU WHAT I AM THINKING. AND I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT ME OR WHAT I SAY. I DON'T CARE IF YOU AGREE OR DISAGREE WITH ME OR YOU ARE SO INCENSED THAT YOU'LL TALK BEHIND MY BACK OR SEND ME FOUL LETTERS. MAYBE SOMEDAY YOU'LL HAVE THE COURAGE AS WELL TO PUBLICLY STATE WHAT YOU ARE THINKING.

BACK IN THE 1980'S, A SERIES OF MOVIES BEGAN THAT BASICALLY GLORIFIED VIOLENCE. IT WAS CALLED THE "TERMINATOR" SERIES AND STARRED A NEWCOMER TO MOVIES, BODYBUILDER ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER.

THE PUBLIC WENT CRAZY OVER THIS SERIES IN WHICH BLOWING PEOPLE AWAY WAS NO DIFFERENT THAN WAVING YOUR HAND.

I KNEW WHAT WOULD HAPPEN. IT WOULD DESENSITIZE VIOLENCE IN OUR SOCIETY. AND IT HAS.

AND ALL OF THE IMITATION FILM SERIES WOULD MAKE IT EVEN WORSE.

BACK IN 1964, DO YOU REMEMBER HOW HORRIFIED WE WERE THAT ONE EVIL MAN MIGHT ACTUALLY TRY AND KILL JAMES BOND--007? IT WAS UNFATHOMABLE TO US.

FAST FORWARD TO 1984 AND LATER TO 2004 AND HOW DO WE REACT TO HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE BEING SLAUGHTERED ON SCREEN? WE HARDLY EVEN NOTICE NOW.

AND THE SAME ATTITUDE HAS BECOME A REGULAR FEATURE OF OUR WORLD TODAY.

HOW DO WE REWARD THIS VIOLENCE? WE MAKE THE MAIN PERPETRATOR THE GOVERNOR OF CALIFORNIA DESPITE HAVING ZERO EXPERIENCE IN POLITICS, GOVERNMENT, MANAGEMENT OR ADMINISTRATION.

SO WHEN YOU ARE WONDERING HOW "COLUMBINE" COULD HAVE HAPPENED, YOU CAN THANK THE BIGGER THAN LIFE VIOLENCE STARS -- WHO YOU WOULD NEVER HAVE THE GUTS TO CALL ON IT.

A Wonderful Surprise Day

I had heard that George Harrison was getting a star in front of the Capitol Records building today and that his wife Olivia and lookalike son Dani would be there to accept it.

These Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremonies are usually brief and a great time if you happen to be a tourist who happens to come along when they take place.

I listen to The Beatles every day. I have posters of "A Hard Day's Night" on my wall. I perform Beatles songs on my guitar and piano. I have never taken a Beatles break since 1964.

So I thought I would pay my respects to George at today's event.
What I thought would be a small event, turned out to be a Beatle lovers paradise.

Police cars everywhere and most of Vine Street blocked off. A crowd of about 500. George's music blaring from in front of Capitol Records. Tom Hanks gave a wonderful speech he wrote about the impact of The Beatles in our lifetime. George's wife Olivia was eloquent in her words and thoughts and son Dani merely said "Hare Krishna." Eric Idle from Monty Python was hilarious and Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne were nearby as well.

When the screaming started, it was for a total surprise.
Paul McCartney, 67 years old, but not looking a day over 21, had come in for this brief ceremony and dedication to his childhood friend and bandmate George. Not wishing to spoil this being George's day, Paul did not speak. But the crowd demanded, "Paul...Speak...Paul...Speak," and for 20 seconds he climbed on the podium and waved to all sections of the crowd instead.

This was the third time in my life I was ever just a few feet away from Paul. Ringo once. But never George or John although I've met plenty of people over the years who were there going back to Liverpool and could share personal stories.

Surprise Beatles days are very special.

SYNCHRONICITY

I've had quite a few incidents of SYNCHRONICITY lately and I thought I would share them with my dedicated readers.

Today I went out driving a classic American car in Burbank, CA. I like to do that on Saturdays. Somebody that also likes to drive classic American cars on Saturdays in Burbank is Jay Leno. His famous garage is located in town and sometimes you see him driving some very interesting cars. I was out for at least 15 minutes and then the thought popped into my head, "I wonder if I'll see Jay Leno driving around town today." The very second I had that thought, I looked in my rear view mirror for safety purposes, and who is directly in back of me? Jay Leno. I got beside him to say hello as he loves to acknowledge other lovers of classic cars.

Probably the greatest foreign film ever made is "Cinema Paradiso."
If you haven't seen it, please go rent it.

A few weeks ago I decided I wanted to order a movie poster of "Cinema Paradiso" to add to others I have displayed. I decided first to find a frame. You can order frames online, and they will cost $30.00 at the low end and go up to $250.00 on the high end, depending on plastic, metal, wood and the quality and look. Movie posters cost enough, so I discovered a few years ago that if your timing is good, you can find a poster frame from time to time in a Goodwill or Salvation Army that range from $7.00 to $20.00. I once found three high quality frames that would probably go for $80. each and they were $7.00 each. I grabbed all three. They had just come in.

When they get one or two, they get thrown in with paintings, other larger picture frames and such. Bringing a tape measure, I ran into a Goodwill last weekend in nearby Glendale, CA. You need a 27" x 40"/41" to properly frame a movie poster. AHA! I could see the top of what appeared to be a movie poster frame covered by a painting. I moved the painting away and yes, it was a perfect movie poster frame. However, I stood there stunned because this frame already had a poster in it., which happens from time to time. The poster was "Cinema Paradiso," the one I was going to order online after finding a frame.

There has been other SYNCHRONICITY events recently, and I'm really starting to ponder the nature of the universe.

Let's Drink To That!

HEY FOLKS! Com'on out tonight to Angels Stadium where we're going to have a tribute and dedication to our pitcher who died from a drunk driver--and while you're here, be sure to pick up a few Budweisers or our other assortment of beers--before the game starts--and even though we know half the stadium will be driving home drunk, it's not a problem--these things only get media attention when it happens to somebody famous--so don't worry about it.

Let's face it. Alcohol is one of the few industries left in America giving Americans jobs. So we need to protect it and ignore the billions of dollars of damage it causes yearly to families, on the job, at work, and in health costs.

It's Only Fair That George W. Set An Example

Since George W. Bush put us all in the mess we are in, it is only fair that he sets an example by demonstrating that we don't need Socialism, we just need everybody to sell...sell...sell!

What Americans Really Need To Get Mad About

I was at Amoeba Records today, the only record store left in Los Angeles when everybody heard a commotion going on outside. Thousands of protesters were marching outside in Hollywood from Hollywood Blvd. to Sunset Blvd. and focusing on the CNN building. They were protesting our continued involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan. Their emphasis was on the fact that the money being spent for these two wars could be going to help Americans. As I have already said that many times, I figured I should have been with them but already contribute to the cause.
Americans were very angry this week because of the outlandish bonuses ranging from $100,000. to $6 million being paid out of our pockets to AIG employees who clearly don't deserve such an outrageous amount of money. Americans can clearly relate to that. IF you still have a job, the guy next to you has been laid off and you've been given his work to do on top of your own. Or you may be working 2 or 3 jobs to try and get by. And you certainly are not getting any bonuses from your employer. This is something you can relate to. When you are barely getting by yourself, why should you be funding unbelievable bonuses for people that are getting rewarded for driving a company into the ground.
However, looking at the overall picture, these bonuses amount to a total of about $200 million.

Your taxes are paying for $300 million DAILY in IRAQ and $60 million DAILY in AFGHANISTAN. By comparison, the bonuses are pocket change.

You need to get mad and demand that we discontinue these wars and put millions instead into funding DAILY in education, job retraining, entrepreneurial projects, health care, housing and every other need for Americans.

Arnold Should Go Back To Playing Hollywood--Instead of Playing Governor

California as everybody knows is in an economic crisis. And why not? A majority of Californians elected a Governor that had ZERO experience in politics, administration and management.

He was elected because it would be cool to have a movie star as the Governor.

One of the first things that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger did was to call a "special election." It seemed that Arnie decided that there were a number of things that were necessary to fix California.

Every one of the proposals he was pushing on the November 2005 ballot was defeated by the citizens.

Although this disaster got a lot of attention, the cost of it didn't.

When it was over, it was determined the cost of holding that "special election" came out to
TWO HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS.

Look at it this way. ONE MILLION COMPUTERS could have been purchased at $200. each and every school in the state would have had computers for every student and dozens of backups when those needed to be replaced as well.

But nobody complained. After all, we had a really cool guy as our leader.

It has taken complete economic devastation for average people to start becoming concerned.

Maybe the homeless bum lying on the street has become more human to you now.

How To Save General Motors

The news from General Motors today was not good.
Even with the infusion of our taxpayer's billions, it is unlikely they can survive.
Billions more from struggling Americans will only result in delaying the expected.

HERE IS THE SOLUTION.

What American company always puts out the most desirable products that has people standing in lines for days and camping out overnight? What American company always has the answer to consumer's demands and needs?

Yes, it is Apple.

And the answer is simple. Remove the current management of General Motors.

Replace it with management teams from Apple. They would know what to do.

GM would survive and thrive.

They Definitely Know How To Entertain

Do you remember when just a few years ago it would be embarrassing to tell somebody that you were a Democrat? Or a Liberal? Or a Progressive?

As it has happened before in American politics, it has been completely turned around.

It is now embarrassing to tell people you are a Republican. Or a Conservative. Or a Right-Winger.

The only safe haven for Republicans these days is when they turn on that Oxycontin-Saturated Whale Rush Limbaugh, that Schoolyard Bully/Choir Boy Sean Hannity, that Loud Mouthed Screaming Male Banshee Mark Levine and that Sex Obsessed Android Bill O'Reilly.

There is no question. They are very entertaining. It is much more fun to listen to these out-of-control programmed mouthpieces for the Republican Party who twist everything than it is to listen to Democratic/Liberal talk radio, that is if you can even find it anywhere.

We don't need a new Fairness Doctrine. That was instituted in 1949 when there were a limited amount of TV stations, radio stations and no other electronic means of mass communication.

We have the Internet. You can get any political viewpoint you wish all day long on the Internet.

The radio consumer market has spoken. Even though the Democrats now dominate politically, it is the wacky Republicans that people want to hear on the radio. They are just so much more fun as they pervert and twist everything. More power to them. They are just so much fun!

I Finally Remembered The Significance of Today

I spent almost all day trying to remember the significance of March 1.

I could not recall. Was it an historical date? No. Was it a birthday, anniversary or something like that? No. I could not figure it out.

Then suddenly, as I was tying my hair into a ponytail (something I've always wanted to do but never had it long enough) I remembered!

Last March 1, I decided to grow my hair longer than it has ever been before!
It actually started as a bet with some students as to who could grow their hair the longest.
Looks like I've won! I have not cut it in one year's time.

It's actually longer than that picture from 90 days ago.

A friend and I were the first to grow our hair longer than anybody else in 1966 to the dismay of parents and the grade school (was in 8th grade). But the version of that was nothing compared to what it is today.

In 1970, two months before high school graduation, the high school sent me home and said "Don't come back until you cut your hair," again it was hardly anything to get excited about. If I had known about the ACLU at the time, I never would have gotten it cut and would probably be in the Government text book as well. They hated long hair then--Fascist Nixon lovers--as most people over 30 were at the time.

Don't forget, in the late 1960's, Disneyland began not admitting any men with long hair into the Magic Kingdom. (check it out for yourself online).

Many people still associate long hair with the hippie era of the late 60's and early 1970's and rebellion. It actually is freedom. If you could, just ask the millions of men who served in the American Civil War. All of them--long haired freedom fighters (viewing it that way from both sides) who were just wearing the style of the day.

The right-wing theocrats in this country always ignore the millions of pictures of Jesus with his long flowing hair. "That's different, he was God."

Too bad they don't realize that the first image of Jesus created in 300 A.D. was somebody's runaway imagination.
And has stuck ever since. They turned him into a gorgeous, long haired, blue eyed, tall Swedish man.

The reality is that Jesus, (Yeshua before his name was converted) was a 1st Century Palestinian Jew who looked no different than the average Jewish man of the time. He would have been dark skinned, short, large nose, brown-eyed, average looking and a Roman-style haircut (like Moe of the Three Stooges) or short curly hair with a beard.

Any man daring to wear long hair at the time would have not only been completely out of place, he would have been crucified for not following the accepted Roman hair style of the time.

Sorry to destroy some of your fantasies. But it seems we prefer our Gods only as beautiful, tall and handsome giants. Buddha being the exception. And the half-Elephant/half-Human guy with four arms.

I do see many men starting to grow their hair long or longer again these days.

The Only Purpose For Watching The Oscars

I watched the Academy Awards for one reason.

Jerry Lewis was finally given a long overdue Humanitarian Award.

It's enough that the man has entertained generations of people all over the world for decades. He has deserved recognition for that alone.

However, 60 years ago, as a very famous young man, he decided to additionally dedicate his life to making the lives of people with Muscular Dystrophy so much better, and searching for a cure.

For those of you who think that all these years he shows up for one day to host the annual TV telethon and that's it--you'd better think again. The man spends months out of the year flying around America making pleas to corporations to support his efforts.

He has never asked for publicity for doing this and has never taken a penny.

Yes, other entertainers have donated large checks to various causes and have shown up here and there for a charitable cause. However, I don't know any entertainer that has given so much dedication and so much of their lives to help other people.

It was long overdue.

How to Ruin "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg"

"The Umbrellas of Cherbourg" is the most beautiful, bittersweet and romantic film ever made. The 1964 French Cannes Film Winner and Oscar Nominated in 5 categories, is the story of a young love that never was meant to be. The entire dialogue is sung in French from a score from Michel Legrand and features the captivating song/theme "I Will Wait For You."

Originally released in 1964, the film set box office records worldwide. Before "Love Story," it became the ultimate film for any couples in love regardless of age.

Shown for only a few months in America, it would not be available again for viewing in the U.S. until the early 1980's when a washed out image, inferior mono sound copy became available on VHS at a price over $125. You had to rent it, but there it was.
Although the director died in 1990, he had stored away original negatives. In the mid-1990's, the director's wife saw that the film was restored to the ultimate color image with an updated soundtrack. It was again released briefly to theaters worldwide with an accompanying restored VHS and eventually a DVD version.

Only adults went to see it in 1964, and I remember seeing it advertised on the marquee of the "400" theater on Sheridan Road in Chicago, the North Side's Arts/Independent Movie Theater.

I had heard about it through the years and finally saw it for the first time renting it in the early 1980's. It was so wonderful that you can't forget it.

Since then, I've seen it over 25 times on VHS/DVD.

I was very thrilled to learn that Los Angeles' only "retro" theater was to show it this weekend.

I'd like to say that the experience was wonderful, but it wasn't.

"The Umbrellas of Cherbourg" is a captivating drama, sung entirely to music, with just a few lighter moments of the sung dialogue. It is accompanied by English subtitles.

The first time that a clever/whimsical line was sung, I was stunned.

The audience howled with laughter. "What's going on here?," I was annoyingly thinking.

And from that point, anytime even something remotely playful was said, the audience would break into laughter.

And if this was not bad enough to destroy the feeling of the film, we were treated to another reason for uncontrollable hysteria.

Yes, we know that one of the female characters is really in love with the main male character, and she shows emotions completely opposite from what she is feeling--yes---we get it--that does not require loud and extreme laughter. We're not watching "The Graduate" here.

My first-ever big screen experience of "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg" was basically destroyed by a typical American audience. They are so used to watching TV sitcoms, talk shows, goofy game shows and laughing hysterically at every feeble attempt at humor, they have been programmed to respond regardless.

The only sound from the audience should have been sobs and choking, especially at the final heart-wrenching scene.

They did give an intense applause at the conclusion. So there is some hope.

It's back to the DVD. Why don't you go rent it from Netflix. You'll thank me.

What I Like About Our New President

Whether you agree or disagree with President Obama--you can't deny one thing--he is at his job everyday--working.

His predecessor, that Bush guy, spent over 800 days on vacation during his 8 years, setting a new record for Presidential playtime.

By comparison, Bill Clinton spent 150 days of relaxation in his 8 years out of the office. Plus one hour in the office.

Why don't you see if you can follow George W. Bush's example and take off 100 days every year on your job.

If you are lucky enough to have a job, you are working harder than ever. And our new President is setting the example.

CAPITALISM HELPER DAY

As revealed over the last few days by the appointments/unappointments made for President Obama's cabinet, even those who had six-figure or more paying jobs have not been keeping up with their taxes. The cost of living in America has become difficult for people of all social classes--and they have decided that taxes will be the last priority.

Yet banks, financial institutions, automakers and other U.S. companies continue to get billion dollar gifts from the American people.

If the auto companies are given billions to hang in there another 90 days, and the American people don't have the money to buy a new automobile, what is the purpose?

If the American people do not have any money to buy the goods and services being offered by their neighborhood stores, everybody is affected. Layoffs by the tens of thousands weekly.

There is only one way of dealing with this at this point. And that is for the government to give all of this bailout money to U.S. citizens to spend on goods and services so the businesses can stay open and keep their employees who in turn will go out and contribute to the spending cycle.

Of course, that would be embarrassing to the U.S. system of Capitalism, but we no longer have Lenin, Stalin, Marx, Mao and Krushchev around to laugh at us. Although, Castro in his last days is enjoying the failure of our economic system thoroughly.

We need a special one-day federal holiday--Capitalism Helper Day. The U.S. Government will give every American, money to spend on one special day. The specially printed money is only good for that one day only. Paris Hilton will be the national spokesman and do the countdown. All businesses in America would be open for 24 hours.

It would be your patriotic duty to go out and spend, spend, spend.

Why Not?

Elephants Can Be Trained To Do Unusual Stuff

This video is amazing. They have trained an elephant to draw a picture of an elephant by using a brush in its trunk. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=He7Ge7Sogrk

I figured that if an elephant can be trained to do an unusual trick,
how hard can it be to train a group of elephants in Congress to start cooperating
with our new President?

CITIBANK CANCELS JET--BUT WANTS YOUR SYMPATHY

Citibank, which was harshly criticized by American ranging from the average citizen all the way up to the President, for the purchase of a new $50 million private jet, has decided to cancel the order.

However, they are now begging for your sympathy, saying that there will be heavy financial penalties for cancelling.

The executives at Citibank must be losing sleep over this--after all, a $5 million penalty might just put them out of business.

No problem guys! Just ask Uncle Sam and the taxpayers for an additional $50 BILLION in free money that you can add on to the first $50 BILLION handout we gave you.

Some of the 75,000 Americans who lost their jobs yesterday might want to throw in a few extra dollars as well.

After all, riding now in those old private jets will cause you great apprehension.
The worn leather seats are becoming uncomfortable and the carpets are showing stains.

You might want to talk to the exec at Bank of America who decorated his office for a mere $1 million. He could probably give you some great ideas for thrifty styling!

While 70,000 Americans lost their jobs today, the execs over at Citibank, whom you gave almost $50 Billion of YOUR hard-earned wages to as a gift, decided that their old private jets just weren't good enough to get around in. So they've gone ahead and ordered a new $50 Million Dassault Falcon 7X made by a French company.
And who can blame them? It's FREE from U.S. Taxsuckers and has these fine features as described on the Falcon's own website:

"The Falcon 7X will fly faster, farther and higher than any Falcon we have ever built. Yet its agility and versatility will give you unequaled performance, both in the air and on the ground.

The seven defining features of the Falcon 7X are:
  1. High Speed and 5,950 nautical mile nonstop range.
  2. Uncompromising cabin comfort.
  3. Unprecedented value.
  4. Innovative wing design and controls.
  5. Unmatched reliability.
  6. Dassault's signature three-engine design.
  7. Unbeatable versatility.

As you review the Falcon 7X information on this site, take note of how much capability has been designed into this airplane. Then compare it with any other corporate jet in the sky. Nothing else comes close."

YOU COULD HAVE LEAST BOUGHT ONE FROM AN AMERICAN COMPANY!

The Radio Right-Wingers Were An Embarrassment

The right-wing talking robots didn't even give the new President a chance yesterday.

Three hours after President Obama took the oath of office, Sean Hannity began his radio show by destroying this special day in American history.

"His speech was uninspiring," exclaimed America's Choirboy who routinely spends much of his show telling his audience just how mean Democrats and liberals are all the time.
"It was a downer," "He's no Ronald Reagan" cried the always kind and compassionate Sean Hannity. He dedicated his entire show to disparaging our new President and the events taking place in Washington, D.C.

Mark Levine, the nasal screeching right-winger, focused his radio show on how our new President is going to lead us down the path of Socialism.

Rush Limbaugh was an outright disgrace to Americans in his slanted attacks on our new President.

The Inauguration was the opportunity for all Americans to fan away the stench of the last eight years and to start anew.

The right-wingers have again displayed their hypocrisy and given us a preview of their intentions for the next four years.

AMERICAN LIBERATION

In his latest publicity stunt, Tom Cruise is now saying that he grew up wanting to kill Hitler. The star of "Valkyrie," the fact-based film about the plot to assassinate Hitler by German officials, has suddenly revealed this psychopathic plot from his childhood.

Tom has been very skilled at getting tons of publicity over the years for various antics and statements. Some people actually believe these things while others laugh it off as the hype it really is.

We are now supposed to believe that when Tom was a 10-year-old, and his friends came over and said, "Hey Tom Dude! Let's Go Skateboarding!," his reply was, "I'm sorry guys. But I'm currently manifesting a plan to travel back in time to personally assassinate Adolph Hitler. I'm also very busy contemplating why there was a lack of social responsibility from the men stationed around Mein Fuhrer."

I can tell you this about the movie. It is an outstanding historical recreation of the actual situation that does probe those questions. However, the participation of Tom Cruise is superfluous in the movie. He added nothing special and did not detract from the film either.

The main role could have been played by any competent actor.
The star of the movie was the storyline, historic detail and set design.
The movie can be screened in schoolrooms all over the country without any worry about ratings or content. The movie could have been made by The History Channel and is recommended to anybody desiring greater knowledge about this plot that went wrong.

History books either don't mention this plot or give it a few lines.
The content of the movie does a great deal to shed a light on this incident that could have shortened the war much quicker.

Just pretend that Tom, the only one with no foreign accent has laryngitis.

"Christina's World" - An Emotional Masterpiece

You've seen this painting before. You probably didn't know its name.

I knew its name, "Christina's World," and that it was painted by a man named Andrew Wyeth. His most famous painting.

Neither you or I knew the significance behind it--until today.

The artist, Andrew Wyeth, died today at age 91.
Another surprise, did not know he was still alive.

I have always found this to be one of the most haunting paintings I have ever seen.

It had always seemed to me that the girl in the painting was LONGING to get to the house for some reason. And that she was in some state of AGONY.

I felt that the painting clearly implied this and I never researched it further.

Today I was amazed to find out that I had been right, but found out the entire story.

Wyeth painted "Christina's World" after he had met a girl who had polio, couldn't walk and had great difficulty getting around.

This is the astonishing thing. You'll notice that he does not show the girl's face.

Yet, I always inferred the LONGING and AGONY from the movement and position of her body.

Only an artistic genius could accomplish the revelation of these feelings and motivations without showing the subject's face.

Knowing the story also adds an entirely new emotional layer when viewing "Christina's World."

Or just hearing the title.

Worst President: Richard Nixon or George W. Bush?

One of the highlights of being a baby boomer is that we got to live through two of the worst Presidents in American History--Richard M. Nixon and George W. Bush.

And one of the moments I have been waiting for has arrived--selecting who was the worst.

Let's make a comparison of their misdeeds in office.

Richard M. Nixon: Used the FBI and the CIA to silence political opponents and enemies. Refused to listen to a growing vocal majority in America that wanted us out of Vietnam. Undermined the entire office of the President by orchestrating illegal activities to guarantee his re-election (Watergate). Took us off the gold standard thereby initiating the downfall of the value of the dollar which we are now all experiencing many times over. Created the atmosphere for the greatest generation gap and counterculture lifestyle (the 60's) we have ever experienced (well the music, fashions, and the word "groovy" were the fun parts) in U.S. history. But he did do one good thing--too bad it's turned out to be our biggest source of destruction: Opened up relations with China. We never expected that all of our manufacturing would go over there putting millions of Americans out of work.

George W. Bush: Decided that there were laws he didn't need to follow, so he'll do it his way. Murdered 4,000 Americans and over 1 million Iraqis in a war that was unnecessary. Many more counting Afghanistan. Approved torture of those who were yet to have a trial. Approved wiretapping and surveillance of Americans at the whim of the government. Created a police state atmosphere in America. Allowed corporations and financial institutions to run wild resulting in the economic mess we are in. Created "free speech zones" undermining the entire concept of Freedom of Speech and Assembly. Created the Patriot Act so your great grandmother can be harassed at the airport by overzealous civil service Gestapo. Undermines stem cell research. Interjects one religion into formerly secular government institutions calling them "faith based initiatives." Allows a few media companies to buy up all their competitors.
Destroys the "Bill of Rights." Walks all over the first 10 amendments to the Constitution so they are no longer recognizable.

There's more...but I'd say we have a clear winner!

"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"

The name of the book and just released movie is a bit odd. It sounds like some kind of children's book and you would expect Willie Wonka or a similar character to lead you through a fantasy land of sweet tasting consumable flowers and foliage.

It doesn't. Adapted from the 1921 short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald, "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" is the new "Forrest Gump." As a matter of fact, the screenplay is by the same man who wrote that 1994 delight which was probably your favorite movie as soon as you saw it.

Screenwriter Eric Roth works his magic again to give you the most romantic and touching film since "Forrest Gump." Again combining a sense of history with a captivating story, I am highly recommending this to anybody that fell in love with "Love Story," "The Way We Were," "The Notebook," "Titanic" or anything else you think I left off.

The title does not serve it justice. Just pretend it's called "Benjamin's Story" and go see it.
